SGS-TÜV Saar Tested Service

As part of the “Tested Service“ certification procedure, a number of different quality parameters, which individual companies have adopted within the framework of their provision of service, are checked to ensure that they are being maintained by a neutral third party, in this case, the SGS-TÜV Saar GmbH (“SGS-TÜV Saar“). The key parameters which are examined by SGS-TÜV Saar are:

Within any service, the human factor has an important part to play. Accordingly, SGS-TÜV Saar looks into the training and qualification of the personnel, for example any evidence of training and education and/or specific (technical) tests of knowledge.

Processes are the basis for thorough and smooth performance in the service. We check on the presence and maintaining of processes relating to the relevant operational elements, such as sales, order acceptance and processing or invoicing.

An important part of good service is the appropriate (technical) assets of the company. SGS-TÜV Saar carries out checks on the basis of the appropriate company specifications, such as the equipping of the personnel, vehicles, workshops, storage facilities, etc.

The route to certification consists of two phases:

Phase 1 – Conceptual design
The quality parameters which are to be inspected are summarized on a checklist, and the possibilities of their being examined at the company are cleared up by SGS-TÜV Saar experts.

Phase 2 - Auditing
The maintaining of the quality parameters is investigated by independent examiners from the SGS on site at the individual company/operational location. The basis for this examination (the audit) is the checklist prepared during phase 1. Following the audit, the company being examined receives a short report on the results. If the examination has been successfully passed, a certificate can be issued on request.
