Please enquireFrom ASIL B in ISO 26262 there is a requirement for validation of hardware architecture metrics. The method of choice in the automotive industry is FMEDA (Failure Mode Effect and Diagnostics Analysis), an analytical method that explores the physical properties of the hardware components. The course will build on knowledge gained in Basic Module K5, expanding it to cover complex hardware components.
- Normative requirements
- Basic knowledge of FMEDA
- Determination of failure rate
- Breakdown of failure modes
- Consideration of diagnostic measures
- Execution of FMEDA
- Interfaces to other analyses
- Exercises for deeper learning
Basic knowledge of analytical methods (e.g. Basic Module K7)
