Wherever a product assessment or process evaluation alone is not meaningful enough, certification by a recognized certification body with an associated DAkkS-accredited inspection body should be considered.
You will receive an independent statement as to whether your product or process complies with the state of the art in functional safety and/or cyber security. With over 2000 valid product and process certificates in the areas of functional safety and cyber security, we are one of the world's most renowned specialist certifiers.
Every certification must be preceded by a successful inspection (assessment and/or audit).
Once the inspection has been completed, a designated specialist certifier from the certification body evaluates the process and the results of the inspection carried out in accordance with an ISO/IEC 17067-compliant certification program.
A positive result is confirmed by an official certificate plus certificate report.
A basic distinction is made between product and process certifications, whereby product certifications typically include the assessment of the processes used in the product evaluation.
Pure process certifications are primarily concerned with confirming whether a company has installed generic processes for the application of a technical standard and is therefore able to implement the standards in product development in the first place.
So-called test marks are awarded with every certification.
These marks can be used for marketing purposes and indicate at first glance whether a product or process is certified.
